Cardamom helps Creativity

The card that popped out for my Sunday Essential Oil Reflection is Cardamom.  Cardamom helps creativity, as well as helping to overcome blockages!

Cardamom with its warming, stimulating and refreshing aroma has antidepressant, antiseptic (pulmonary), anti-spasmodic (neuromuscular), aphrodisiac, aperitif, carminative, expectorant, stomachic and digestive properties.  The essential oil is steam distilled from the dried, crushed, almost ripe seeds.  

Cardamom’s stimulating and tonic properties can be helpful in blends created for any situation where tension is a factor.  It has also been used in blends where there is a reduction or loss of function due to a stroke.

Cardamom’s anti-inflammatory, calming and stimulating properties are excellent for many digestive complaints including anorexia, colic, cramp, gas, halitosis, heartburn, indigestion, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. It has also been suggested that one could consider using Cardamom as an antidote to sugar cravings. Cardamom with its anti-inflammatory, expectorant, mucolytic and decongestant properties has also been included in blends dealing with coughs and bronchitis.  As well as blends dealing with muscular aches and pains.  It has also been helpful for dealing with urinary tract infections as well as spasmodic period pains.

Energetically, Cardamom allows new energies to assimilate gently back into the physical body. Consider using Cardamom when one is overburdened with responsibilities.
