Corandrum sativum

Coriander for feelings of security, promotes confidence and motivation!

The card I chose for my Essential Oil Reflection today is Coriander.

Coriander with its sweet, spicy light aroma has analgesic, aperitif, aphrodisiac, anti-rheumatic, anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, anti-toxic, fungicidal, sedative and digestive stimulant properties.

It is helpful for soothing migraine, neuralgia and nervous exhaustion and can also be helpful for bad memory and dizziness, as well as for shock, sadness and fear.

Coriander has been used in blends for stretch marks and scars, as well as for colds.  It can also be very effective in blends for arthritis, gout, rheumatism, muscular aches and pains and stiffness.  Coriander is an excellent oil to consider in synergies designed to address digestive system conditions like colic, gastritis, diarrhea, flatulence, nausea, hiccups and anorexia.  It may also have an effect on bad breath and could be part of a mouthwash.

Energetically, Coriander can help promote feelings of security.  It may help to increase creativity, spontaneity and passion, as well as, promote confidence and motivation.  It is a gentle and compassionate oil and has also been used for healing and love potions.
