When we consider the energetic influences brought by the Full Moon, Flower, Crystal and Essential Oils attributed to a particular month I am always amazed by the additional subtle nuances and insights we can bring to the creation of our essential oil synergies. I do hope that you enjoy the video, its information and my final synergy for the month.
In addition to what I have covered in the video, in this post I would like to add another lens to consider when creating an energetic blend for the month. In Tarot each of the Astrological Signs are associated with a Major Arcana Card so each month I share information about the Major Arcana card that represents the Sun Sign operating for most of the month. An interesting and often effective nuance to consider when looking at the energetics that are all around. Taurus (April 21 - May 20) is the Sun Sign we are looking at and its Major Arcana Card is V The Hierophant.
V The Hierophant
In their book, Around the Tarot in 78 Days, a Personal Journey Through the Cards, Marcus Katz & Tali Goodwin say The Hierophant says: '"You need to add a good dose of structure to your life. You need a bit of order and discipline to be able to function well in the world. You need to adopt a practice such as yoga that will become a part of your everyday routine." And the Key Concepts: Divine Teaching and Your Life is a Glass, Clearly.
The Qualities this card describes include: Humane, virtuous, philosophical, religious, loyal to a group or to collective beliefs, conventional.
While the potential Shadows highlighted include: Unquestioned conformity, dogma, self-righteousness.
The Strengths Achieved by consciously working with its energy include: Loyalty, greater understanding, fertility in life, upliftment of the soul, freedom of beliefs, kindness and compassion.
While potential Weaknesses Revealed include: False security, ancestral fears, misunderstandings, misplaced loyalties, overindulgence; stubbornness, wishy-washy beliefs.
Considering the Hierophant’s Numerology, usually written in Roman Numerals V, the number five can be about learning lessons, moving forward, involuntary instability, shift change, disruptions, shaking things up, challenges, uncertainty, boundaries, crises and transformation. Change.
The Tree of Life is made up of 10 Sefirot and 22 Paths and each of the Paths is associated with a Major Arcana Card. The Hierophant lies on Path 16 Vau meaning the Nail.
This path runs between Chokma and Chesed and reminding us that the Hierophant represents the connection between divine wisdom and human understanding. This archetype is often associated with religious or spiritual leaders with the authority and knowledge to guide others on their spiritual journey. The Hierophant’s journey through the Tree of Life represents seeking higher knowledge and understanding and the responsibility to share that knowledge with others. He must balance wisdom with compassion and mercy and use their authority and expertise for the greater good. This path encourages us to approach learning with humility and respect for tradition while also using one’s knowledge and authority to guide others toward compassion and mercy.
Energetically, the Hierophant is associated with:
Chakra: 6th Third Eye
Bach Flower Remedy: Taurus: Chestnut Bud; Centaury; Oak
Crystal: Herkimer Diamond
Essential Oils: Thyme, Cardamom, Rosewood, Howood.
