When we consider the energetic influences brought by the Full Moon, Flower, Crystal and Essential Oils attributed to a particular month I am always amazed by the additional subtle nuances and insights we can bring to the creation of our essential oil synergies. I do hope that you enjoy the video, its information and my final synergy for the month.
In addition to the January Energetics covered in this video, I would like to add another lens to consider from the Tarot. In Tarot each of the Astrological Signs are associated with a Major Arcana Card so each month I share information about the Major Arcana card that represents the Sun Sign operating for most of that month. An interesting and often effective nuance to consider when looking at the energetics that are all around. Capricorn (December 22 – January 19) is the Sun Sign we are looking at and its Major Arcana Card is XV The Devil.
XV The Devil
In their book, Around the Tarot in 78 Days, a Personal Journey Through the Cards, Marcus Katz & Tali Goodwin say The Devil says: “They say ‘better the devil you know than the devil you don’t’. So get to know me better and all will become much easier. Stop avoiding the situations in your life that hold you in a state of fear and control and ‘just do it!’ The more you resist my charms, the more you will be tempted to give in with total abandonment, with no limitations!” And the Key Concepts: The Traps of Attachment and Facing the Unknown.
The Qualities this card describes include: Ashamed, jealous, codependent, deceitful, ill-intended, self-destructive, shackled by ignorance, chained to the need for approval.
While the potential Shadows highlighted include: The Devil is the shadow.
The Strengths Achieved by consciously working with its energy include: Strength of will, tolerance, pragmatism, stronger belief system, openness and innocence.
While potential Weaknesses Revealed include: Weak will, false pride, selfishness, dishonesty, conceit, domineering and demanding.
Considering The Devil’s Numerology, usually written in Roman Numerals XV, fifteen added together becomes a six and the number six can be about seeking harmony, equilibrium, cooperation, community, charity, reunion, pleasure, enjoyment, beauty, compassion, peace, spiritual connection, well-balanced relationships, communication, cooperation, Stability.
The Tree of Life is made up of 10 Sefirot and 22 Paths and each of the Paths is associated with a Major Arcana Card. The Devil lies on Path 26 Ayin meaning the Eye.
This path runs between Tiferet and Hod and reminds us that the Devil’s journey through the Tree of Life represents confronting our shadow aspects and overcoming the illusions that can keep us trapped. It teaches us to face our inner demons and to find the courage to break free from limiting beliefs and negative patterns. This path teaches us to find the strength to overcome our inner obstacles and emerge more robust and whole.
Energetically, The Devil is associated with:
o Chakra: 2nd Sacral Chakra
o Bach Flower Remedy: Capricorn: Rock Water; Beech; Agrimony
o Crystal: Smoky Quartz
o Essential Oils: Clary Sage, Patchouli.
