When we consider the energetic influences brought by the Full Moon, Flower, Crystal and Essential Oils attributed to a particular month I am always amazed by the additional subtle nuances and insights we can bring to the creation of our essential oil synergies. I do hope that you enjoy the video, its information and my final synergy for the month.
In addition to what I have covered in the video, in this post I would like to add another lens to consider when creating an energetic blend for the month. In Tarot each of the Astrological Signs are associated with a Major Arcana Card so each month I share information about the Major Arcana card that represents the Sun Sign operating for most of the month. An interesting and often effective nuance to consider when looking at the energetics that are all around. Aries (March 21 - April 20) is the Sun Sign we are looking at and its Major Arcana Card is IV The Emperor.
IV The Emperor
In their book, Around the Tarot in 78 Days, a Personal Journey Through the Cards, Marcus Katz & Tali Goodwin say The Emperor says: "Exercise your authority and maintain your boundaries. Otherwise, you may find it difficult to maintain order and control. You must muster your drive and ambition and always be the initiator of new ideas. Lead by example. Remember, you are the master of yourself first and foremost. If you cannot manage yourself, there is not much hope for managing difficult situations." And the Key Concepts: Power and The Application of Force.
The Qualities this card describes include: Competent, organized, safe, responsible, firm, rational, specific, decisive, assertive, authoritative, forceful, disciplined, dutiful, self-sufficient, protective, territorial.
While the potential Shadows highlighted include: Using authority inappropriately; being bossy, emotionally rigid, overly controlling or overly responsible, rational at the expense of feeling, patronizing, obsessed with security, or tyrannical.
The Strengths Achieved by consciously working with its energy include: Visionary energies, revelation of life potentials, courage, ability to inspire, attunement to higher orders.
While potential Weaknesses Revealed include: Disrespect for authority, bitterness, unclear focus, disassociation from people, egotism, foolhardiness, acting without forethought.
Considering the Emperor’s Numerology, usually written in Roman Numerals IV, the number four can be about playing it safe, seeking stability, order, structure, protection, security, foundation, consolidation, contraction, conservation, as well as applying, possessing, reasoning, practicality and authority. Consolidation.
The Tree of Life is made up of 10 Sefirot and 22 Paths and each of the Paths is associated with a Major Arcana Card. The Emperor lies on Path 15 Heh meaning the Window.
This path runs between Chokma and Tiferet and reminding us that the Emperor’s journey through the Tree of Life represents mastering one’s power and authority and using that power for the greater good. He must balance wisdom and compassion to create a stable and harmonious society. This path is a reminder to use one’s power wisely and to always act with compassion and fairness toward others.
Energetically, the Emperor is associated with:
Chakra: 5th Throat Chakra
Bach Flower Remedy: Aries : Impatiens; Vine; Heather.
Crystal: Ruby.
Essential Oils: Basil, Ginger, Laurel, Petitgrain and Thyme.
